GC: Getting Started
  • Getting Started

To start your adventure, log onto Shotbow and head over to the massive Ghostcraft sign, where a villager lies. Right click him and choose your server (must have at least one person other than you to play with, so choose wisely).
You will spawn in a lobby with a myriad of signs to the left and right of you. Choose the map by right clicking a sign and clicking on the map you want. If you want to join an existing game, find a sign that does not say "Start New Game". Once you are in, the game will already be going on, or it will be in the countdown for the next game to start. Regardless, you should choose your class by right clicking the string in your inventory. As a beginner, you can choose one of these starter kit. The default kit is Archer. It is recommended you choose Soldier as it a very good kit and let's you get used to the gamemode.

If you want to use any of the other kits, you can purchase any of them with 20,000 Shotbow XP from the Shotbow XP Shop.

You will see three other items in your inventory, which are a Nether Star, your Ghost Abilities (Default: Blink), paper, your Ghost Particles (default: Normal) and enchanted book, ghost pass (unimportant for beginners). If you want to use any others, you will also have to purchase them from the Shotbow XP Shop (Particles: 4,000 XP, Abilities: 8,000 XP).

Once you've selected your class, you will have to wait (not too long, every match times out at 5 minutes max). When the game starts, you will spawn with your kit. You'll want your particles to be on "All" in your settings, so you'll be able to see the ghost.

The Ghost is a small mass of black (or in some cases, other-colored) particles in the shape of a rectangle, about the height of a normal player. It will take a few times playing to get used to seeing the Ghost particles right away.

If you do happen to see the particles in front of you, try to hit them. If you do, it will show the amount of damage on the scoreboard on the right. Once the Ghost is killed, or the Ghost kills everyone, you will be transported back to the lobby. If you hit the Ghost, you will be given a percentage of how much you damaged the ghost based on the other players. The higher the percentage, the higher chance you have of being the Ghost the next round. To learn more about the Ghost, go here.
