Afaya is a walled, abandoned town in the savanna in the East, South of Tristitia. It has 4 entrances, one on each side. It is possible to climb atop the wall from the west side. It's also possible to climb atop the roofs in multiple places. Afaya is a good place to stack up on food. However, there are no health potions to be found.

    Travel Advisory/Warnings(top)

    • This location can be a great holdout for a small team of survivors.
    • This town is filled with zombies, so be careful.
    • The small areas in this village can be dangerous, as zombies can hop out of alleyways or pop around corners while you're not expecting it.
    • The rooftops of the structures inside can be good places to stay at, as zombies cannot usually get up there.
    • This place is mostly isolated, but don't get too comfortable. Bandits will occasionally run through here.
    • Survivors who travel here are likely bandits.
    • Due to the lack of health potions and the high spawn rate, it is not possible to stay here indefinitely.
    • To enter the hidden room, you must find a lever hidden inside a small hole on the outer wall of the condemned house, facing the northern city wall.
    • Don't bother going up on the walls of the city looking for chests. There is nothing up there.

    • There is a Void Echo here.
    • Inside the secret room, there are signs reading "She begged me to end her suffering..." and "I can still hear the screams..." next to a skeleton skull.
      • The head of the town's builder, GreyWolf64, can be found hidden here and in the Lt. Madison's Residence. There's also a barrel named "Grey's Tears" inside the hidden room.
    • This is one of the locations that had a major building update in Majicou's Secret Update.
    • Like Spooky Yawpton, Spooky Afaya was added in October 2015 for Halloween. The loot did not change during this time other than the addition of a few Halloween Chests found around the meteor found in the middle of the town. The town was retextured to fit the Halloween theme and was restored once November rolled around.
    • The name of this town might derive from the name of the Greek Goddess of Light, Aphaea.

    Lore (top)

    • This location contains a Lore Book. It is related to Ragtag's Cove:

      City Log - Alexander
      Day 44:
Thank goodness! The zombies seem to have left us alone after hearing a cannon to the west after we saw a passing ship. Note to self: It seems that zombies are able to walk on the bottom of the ocean floor.
