Team buffs should vary, and target a specific type of player, allow me to elaborate. For example, one team would have a buff were they specialise around healing the team, which could consist of minor buffs such as the golden apple, extra heart effect; or perhaps a minor regeneration. It could even be as simple as faster revive times. Whereas a team such as the Nightmare, they could focus on manipulation and trickery. They would be able to have a stealthier approach in taking towns, and planning to cover an objective. If some other game mechanics were added such as traps, this would make this team buff for nightmares, work extremely well.

    Here's just the brief example:
    Power Rangers
    -Advancements with Medical Supplies
    -Regeneration
    -Minor buffs (Golden Apple)

    Nightmare
    -Advancements with Traps
    -Speed
    -Minor buffs (Faster trap placement?)

If you wanted to further advance into something such as this, you could put into place, a skill tree. Which would obviously consist of Power Rangers, Nightmares, Initiative 1, Team Cobra. In these skill trees you would be able to unlock things such as the regeneration buff, or the speed buff. Which would allow players to choose what they wanted to do for their team, this would make Wasted much more team focused, if that's what your plan is. It probably wouldn't work if Wasted wants to remain solely as a FPS type game, this is just an example though. This skill tree type idea could use EXP from the normal game and the normal achievements menu to lay out the skill tree, or perhaps you could do it within the forums itself. That could then allow you to add certain classes to certain teams with certain buffs.

I understand this would be hard to implement and would make Wasted a little more elaborate, maybe for the better or the worse. As I said, it's just an example of some of the ideas you could implement into Wasted to make it a good game. Wasted itself has so much potential, I just want it to be fun.

At this point, Wasted deserves its own game, or atleast to be sold to a higher Minecraft network (if not successful on shotbow).

honestly the bigger networks would probably pay for 2 years of wasted full servers on shotbow.

Wasted is based off of Arma II's 'Wasteland Mod', it is not an original idea and basically has it's own game.
I'm glad, anywhere else wouldn't feel right.

Love the way everyone is taking it out of context. I said if it wasn't successful on shotbow, which could be the case due to its population and other issues.

Mojang have indirectly interfered with many servers incomes, mainly so people will buy Realms but instead people quit. 1.9 pvp: messing with PvP servers and if they eventually remove ability to use 1.8 pvp, pvp focused servers (badlion etc) will die. They go out and make an effort to try and stop servers from getting income to hurt them. From what the announcement on the front page says, Shotbow is having trouble with funds to keep the server alive and if it is at that point, along with Wasted being far from a release, it is unlikely it will ever come back. I am not doubting Robert or the other people who are working on Wasted's effort, but if Shotbow cant keep the server up then Wasted cannot come back.

The acronym may seem a little harsh but the M is 100% true.

It's more like Microsoft pulling the strings, but I agree that everyone hates realms. It's just the idea that games now all have some type of subscription to generate more revenue, like Xbox live. This puts mine-craft in a nice spot because it is already a one time purchase game, all they have to do is tack on a few hidden fees and it makes the game nearly unplayable. It is sad because if Microsoft made a few big dedicated servers it would bring mine-craft back to the days of fun without waiting for the server you are playing on to die out or sellout to buy-craft pages.

What Mojang does is their business. We'll keep making our awesome FPS game and enjoy it to the fullest. Simple as that. Our games are for the players, that's why we do what we do.

Mojang's blatant moneygrab effort to shutdown servers that people play on and like are pathetic and that acronym accurately represents at least the EULA enforcement team.

I hope that it comes back but if Mojang are destroying the server's main source of revenue it may not be able to come back.

I know about the EULA, it was the way you presented it, but like, Shotbow should be capable of doing something about the revenue issue.

EULA was to make minecraft servers more friendly. If I logged on to a certaint survival games server, if you donated you would spawn with better stuff than me. They made it so you could spend 2 months and unlock some of those kits after EULA, but the donors already had all the kits and were too good. EULA was a good thing.

It is a good thing for most of the revenue for big servers to be cut off? People pay for game advantages, they dont pay for cosmetics as much.

I will stay on topic from here. Last message about the eula topic.

Well on topic I sent a few of you the link to my idea for what a wasted map should be similar to. It is a map.

Okay my last word on revenue, More than likely and if they haven't, thats their issue. Most if not all servers that get 200+ have back up plans about server costs, payments, each server employee's cut, etc. figured out. That's the thing. More than likely Shotbow should very well have a back up plan for it all.

Judging by how little shotbow fixes it's games the devs and owners probably have actual jobs that help cover some of the cost.

Also, are chests going to be changed in the way they're managed? Or how we get items? I think chests are too clunky, and take up too much space. Could we maybe make items instead as armor stands with the items contained and have them posed to make it look like the items are on the ground, and use an invisible slime as the hitbox for the items, and once you click that slime, the contents of what would have been a chest appear? Or maybe just make chests a player skull. Or just straight up items.

Is ammo getting changed at all?

Lastly, can you make sure to not have a random vehicle with jetpacks in its inventory in the middle of the forest? Thanks!

The vehicle with jetpacks is caused by people storing jetpacks in there for later retrieval after a supply drop, weapons cache, or fight with another jetpacker. Not any type of glitch.
