Discussion - Shotbow Lag & Anti-cheat! Join the partition!

    So since the update Annihilation has risen in popularity and the servers can't handle this many players. I want to start a partition to show the people from shotbow that they need to take action. The game has become absolutely unplayable. Idk what servers they use, but a potato probably works better than this. If Shotbow doesn't take action Annihilation will fall again and not as many people will play it anymore while the gamemode is so good. The second thing is the anti-cheat. I think an anti-cheat is good, but this one is so lacking. I've died to many times to count from this anti-cheat since I though I was away and then I get TPed back into the people who were attacking me... Anyways, if you want to join the partition please like this post and comment on this thread to keep it alive!

    Server suggestion ( These servers are hosted by OVH and were made for gaming while still being cheap ):

    I am neutral on this topic, but the servers you provided (next to being sort of advertising) are all hosted in Europe or on the East Coast of the US. I think that Shotbow made it pretty clear why they are no longer hosting their servers in that region in the past.

    As for the servers that Shotbow uses, I would say that from personal experience they are actually pretty powerful. A change of servers really isn't needed at the moment from what I could say, maybe Shotbow needs to get some more servers at the current host instead to relieve some of the pressure, but meh.

    The retirement of the EU servers had nothing to do with it being bad or anything. I also played on the US server since no one was ever on the EU server and the main IP connected to the US server so there were also people who didn't even know there was an EU server. The US servers are now hosted by Pschyz which is a pretty good/reliable provider, but they should use the extra money that they gained by shutting down the EU servers into 1 more server from Pschyz, or fix whatever issue is causing lag if it isn't the hardware.

    Maybe they should make a jp.shotbow.net hosted in Japan because during the weekend times for the peak of the Japanese players comes with unbearable lag.

    I am neutral on that because, there is a lot of Japanese players and they may need their seperate server but if then it will take like all the players from us.shotbow.net and wouldn't be fun for the US players. Maybe we could do this when the player count is higher? And also i'm pretty sure jp.shotbow.net is a thing but connects to us.shotbow.net
