Discussion Not enough interest in games?

I dont really know where to place this but while playing Assault, this came into mind.First of all, I know that the shotbow network is big, but it only seems to be for certian games. Mainly Annihilation, HCF and Minez. Almost all of the other games have little to no players in them so nobody ever plays them due to the minimum players required and it gets boring just waiting. Shotbow may be big, but its mainly focused on Annihilation and you rarely see people in other games. Adding a new game may have hype and such, but people have devoted too much time into other games and dont like being noobs. For the few times i have played some of the other games, they were extremely fun! I reccomend for you to try and play these other games! who knows, you might find them fun!

Assault doesn't have so many players as the other games for a few reasons, mainly because most people on Shotbow don't know it exists.

Secondly, because it's still in alpha which deters people because they don't want to play a bug filled game (although Assault actually has very few bugs, especially compared to games such as when in rogue).
Also, people don't like trying new things, so they stick with what they know

I've played all the games on Shotbow except HCF and have liked them all (except ghostcraft because I never really understood it). I rarely play on Shotbow though because the games are as old as they are, I play quite a bit of assault now though because it's new and interesting :3 (also it gives me something to build stuff for, ran out of ideas for all the other gamemodes...)

I'm pretty happy with how many players Assault has at the moment. There are enough players so at least 1 game can be played by the dedicated few alpha testers.

If more people knew about Assault, they might try it out the one time and not be happy with the unfinished product and then never give it a chance when it is ready.
