Suggestion - New rooms for the new houses!

It has been a long time since we were actually having updates, and now that staff has said that not only they were fixing bugs, but recreating the new house system, I think new rooms would make them something to work for. Right now, when you create a farm, an anvil station and a crafting station, thats all. All you can build are more and more storage rooms, and then just fill with balconies. More rooms will make houses a bit more complex as well. My ideas:

-First of all, remove the Manage house sign from where it is to above the door, so we have an extra room.

    Water:

Here, the water will act as a dirty water provider and the cauldron will be refilled eventualy, providing clean water. The problem of this room is that it must be built on the ground floor, that is why I suggested the movement of the sign.

    Filter-Option
This option has four upgrades aside from the initial build:

    New room. It is useless

This upgrade needs coal and small stones. The idea is that now we create a filter for the water. In order tu use it you right click the hopper and a furnce-like where you introduce a dirty water bottle. When the "burning" ends you will get a empty bottle but in the cauldron below there will be 1 more layer of water!

This is the next upgrade and needs coal and stones as well. It will provide 1 more filter.
A thrid filter is also possible and will work just like the rest

    Rain Collector-Option
This will be the most hated option, I'm sure, and I'm personally not a big fan, but it's worth to mention. This option will act as a roof so NO MORE ROOMS ABOVE IT. However this water system will be super useful and will payout the loss of more rooms. This, however, dont work in the desert.

You start with 1 or 2 cauldrons and more can be inlcuded with iron-upgrades. This cauldrons will refill with every map reroll (12 h) and with every rain. This mean that when fully upgraded you will get 21 bottles per rain or reroll. Not bad.

    Brewing:
This is also a room I would like to have. Because brewing is not that important, I have personally combined a brewing station with some sort of "healing plants". You will see.

First build. Simple but useful. Works as a regular brewing stand.

This is one of the possible upgrades for this room. Now you introduce this flower pots that will randomly produce more flowers. What is the point of having them? You can collect them and get coagulation powder and antibiotic cream, which can be useful if you know those secret recipes.

This is another possible upgrade if you dont have the recipes.

    Both upgrades are also possible.

    Other:

This include two rooms that are not that necessary and are a bit more complex, but if the staff are really into upgrading the game, I think these are interesting.

It is a mushroom growing room. That is all. They will reproduce and create more mushroom, which can be collected with a hoe and be used for mushroom stews or...

This is a cauldron room where you can cook. You throw in there 2 mushrooms, bread dought and a bowl and you get a modified rabbit stew. It will heal 4 hearts (less than the 5 you get if you eat stew and bread separated) and recover 12 hunger point (more than the 11 you get eating the stew and bread separatedly). Other benefits are not using wood or coal for the bread and eating faster than if you eat 3 slices of bread. However they occupy 1 whole space of inventory.

That's all folks! Thank you for reading all the post and please leave some support. Also I know that staff has a lot to do, so have in mind that these are long term suggestions, but again, if the devs are looking for options, I think these would do.

Might I say, this was a very well put together post, good job!:D
A few of these rooms have been suggested before, like extra crops and brewing rooms. But the water and cooking ones seem really neat!

One thing I feel that needs to be taken into consideration is you should have to leave your house to get things.
Having an over-abundance of certain resources and amenities could lead to the game being too easy to survive. :( (At least as long as you don't stray from your house or go explore)

    nice ideas!

but as tundra said, not too many resource rooms or it'll be too easy to live xd.

C'on, since my house is near Asindia I often make free food distributions of half a dozen bread stacks on the marketplace to support the poor and hungry noobs.

I love the suggestions, but where will you walk in if the front doors gone?

Nice ideas, I like the mushroom-growing room.

This is what I was thinking! :stuck_out_tongue:

The door is still the same, but the sign is over it. I just think that losing a room just for that sign was stupid

i'd suggest we all hold tight on housing suggestions until we see what the revamp of the housing system will look like. Seeing as they said it's a revamp the suggestions may not even make sense until we see what they will be doing with it.

As I said, even if the whole system is completely changed, they at least have to keep some modularity if they want to include some upgrading and customization. The suggestion i gave shouldn't be understood literally, but just to give ideas, so at least devs have in mind that some people would like a some sort of kitchen, or alchemy station... Moreover, I dont think they will just wipe out the whole room concept because it is very practical indeed.

But when a room goes in front of the door, how do you enter/exit the house?

I think he means you can add a third room on the back wall of the ground floor.

Not where the front door is.
