Before spending weeks on making a map, we want to know how many people would want this map concept: A large island, with the nexus's located on the sides (like Andorra). The actual team base will be a humongous ship (think Legendary Man O' War from AC4 Black Flag), connected to docks that will be the access point to the base. The island, which will make up the majority of the map, will consist of harbor buildings, mines, and a "treasure trove" mid that will hold the diamonds. If you like this concept make sure to upvote/like the thread and comment any suggestions. Once we know a good amount of people want this, we'll get to work.
If you really are going for this then it may be a good Idea to look for inspiration from other existing maps that are going in that direction, for example Galleons, Island and I think there is one more, best of luck
Well maps like galleons doesn't work because of the amount of water, just like castaway. The point is for it to be mainly land because its more likeable, then valleys to split up bases. Were also incorporating popular attributes of more played maps like coastal with individual mid islands and hamlet with flat areas of crop fields. Also, closer mines, secret nexus entrance, etc. Overall just things people typically like about a map.
Don't do it, even if they add it in the long run it won't be played, for example look at the map randomization, there are over 15 maps available including the map rotation, but only 4-5 get selected always (the most classic ones such as Coastal, Canyon, etc) and one of the new ones, which is Shromelette just because of Mush voting it always. So in my opinion and from what you can clearly see on Shotbow, only classic maps get played, rest don't even get 20% of the votes the classic ones get.
