MineZ Christmas Build Contest Results!

Hello again and Happy Holidays! We'd like to thank all the players, past staff and minis who submitted a build(s) for this Christmas themed contest. The team has been thrilled to see the submissions come in and we appreciate the time and effort you all spent working on your builds.

Though not everyone can place, we are happy to say that no one is walking away empty handed and that one way or another, each and every build will be incorporated into the Christmas map this year.

Without further ado, let's move on to the results!

3rd Place

Coming in third place, we have LawsOfAviation with their rebuild of Aurora. Small details like the snow globe snowman, embedded snowflakes and the incorporation of Christmas classics from Frosty the Snowman solidified this builder’s place.

2nd Place

In second place, we have WTDPuddles and their rendition of a Christmas Hell Tree. The scale of this rebuild was impressive, with care taken to add fun and tasty details.

1st Place

In first place, we have the group of builders, Tannatron and _Frostie, with their wordplay submission of Missile Toad. The frog may not be as festive as it's counterpart “Mistletoe”, but we’re sure this build will make a big impact.

Honorable Mentions:

While they may not have made the cut for top 3, there are several people we’d like to give an honorable mention to!

Orcahedral and their swampwork:
Snowmelon Town and Fairylight were both really unique reworks of existing locations and we’re happy to see someone so devoted to the swamp. You’ll be sure to see these festive locations ingame!


Rory and their Igloos:

While on the smaller side of rebuilds, there is a good bit of care put into this and while the inclusion of waddles makes us a little concerned it’s still a fun build.


stla_moco and “HappyMoore”:

There’s a lot to be happy about with this build, and we’re sure players will enjoy visiting this location throughout the event!


Tannatron and Giant’s Feast:

Giant’s Feast is a truly delectable rebuild of a classic location. Players can be sure to feast on the giant’s holiday dinner here…if they’re bold enough to do so.

Welcome to the Map:

We’re very excited to add in so many builds with this contest. All Placed builders and Honorable mentions will be added in the second week of the Christmas update. If we need to make any adjustments to your build we’ll be sure to contact you ahead of time and work those details out. If one of your builds did not make it, do not fret! There is a chance part of it could still be seen by players this year.

Winners can begin receiving their ingame prizes once MineZ’s 2022 Christmas Update has rolled.

Prizes

As a reminder, the prizes for this contest were:

1st Place: 50,000 Shotbow XP + Gold Rank + Shotbow Lunar Cape
2nd Place: 25,000 Shotbow XP + Silver Rank + Shotbow Lunar Cape
3rd Place: 25,000 Shotbow XP + 3 Shout Tokens

All winners will additionally receive a special in-game prize and holiday cosmetic for use on MineZ. There may be more than 3 builds added however, and in that case, those who did not place in the top 3 will also receive a special in-game prize and cosmetic.
