Hello Survivors! Below is a comprehensive list of all of the changes in MineZ for the year 2023. The purpose of this thread is to keep players up-to-date on the changes and rebalancing coming to MineZ. If you are looking for previous changelogs, you can find them linked below. Dungeon Changes: Warped Ruins: Attempted a fix for the void not TPing players sometimes. Fixed a jump in the Tether that was too hard. DCS: Patched another DCS boss safespot Paluster: Fixed a safespot in the Giant Ice Cave, Added many pigman and zombie spawners throughout the dungeon. Shortened the timer on the item drop water parkour room. Added pigmen to the dispensers of the water maze room. Removed all ladders in the boss room. There are now slabs in some places to get back up. Changed the poison damage to Wither damage in the boss room and increased the duration. 9/7/2023 ( 5.3.4 ) Balance Changes: Manzana: Added Anvils Added Golden Apples and lingering 1's to pot_manzana. Riel: Replaced pot_uncommon with a pot_rare and removed a zombie spawner. Necromancer Tower: Splash I -> Splash II Cake -> Potato x 2 Cooked Beef -> Melon x4 Reduced cobweb drop chance. Ortrand: Buffed all food chests. Septus: Replaced all mineshaft pot_uncommon with a tool rare. Bell Bunker: Substantially reduced wheat drop chance. Orlop Deck: Reduced cobweb drop chance Buffed all chests at Jungle Alcove, Afaya Camp, Aeternalis Camp and civilian chests at Exolesco Camp. Remade room_high and room_low loot tables. Dungeon Changes: Zerbia Depths: TP Water now deals 3 hearts of damage if you are TPed to the start of the dungeon. Devil's Respite: Rewired the Pigman plate room. Orlop Deck: Modified Entrance DCS Fixed more boss room safe spots. Bugfixes: Fixed some furnaces still being lit at various locations. Fixed a few items spawning incorrectly in chests (wrong lore, full dura). Fixed armor stand blockades in EHQ and Eclipsed Headquarters. Fixed some issues with iFrames. 8/29/2023 ( 5.3.3 ) Bugfixes: Patched a bug where soulbound arrows could be placed into quivers. Patched a bug where axe zombie kills counted twice. Fixed herbalist hideout's torch not burning leaves. Updated many more items with correct and current lore/tooltips. Balance Changes: Mount Therum spawns splash 2's now. Nerfed Septus' bonus chest parkour and bonus chest. Removed various safe spots in different locations. Removed a cheesy way to get to the Zerbia food chest. Modified Devil's Respite parkour room to fix some issues. Barriers and a piston launch have been added. 8/27/2023 ( 5.3.2 ) Balance Changes: Removed anvils from Aurora. Filled in a chest marker at Aurora. +1 Mil rare Removed studded leather from Undermines chests. Removed Cake, Pumpkin pie from the undermines. Added Wheat x 2, potato x 2 Removed some iron ore from Ravine. Removed some farming spots from Lazerville. Arid temple boss 120hp -> 140 hp Underminer 275hp -> 300hp. Bugfixes: Fixed cookie recipe not using cocoa beans Fixed leather chestplate, leggings and boots not being craftable. Fixed a bug with component bag lore. Fixed a bug with Dentril's Fear giving poison on PVE. Patched some exploits. 8/26/2023 ( 5.3.1 ) Bugfixes: Fixed an issue with global anvils Removed several old placements of ore Disabled mining in Instances Fixed Bell Bunker Instance entrance Added a missing chest to Anti-Zombie Fortress Fixed an issue with instance servers not reliably being available. This is not a fix to connection issues. Fixed an issue with certain armor stands being interactable. Fixed thieves guild legendary not spawning. Fixed missing recipes not being available. Fixed water not boiling into fresh water. Added a few missing signs. Fixed non-player entities giving PVP tags. Fixed breaking chests making a strange sound. Fixed several exploits. 8/26/2023 ( 5.3.0 ) Gameplay Changes: Furnaces are now interactable and can be fueled by any valid source. /mzcraft has been updated with new recipes. Iron Ore, Coal Ore, Stone and its variants, and logs are now harvestable. Water can be boiled in furnaces to make fresh water, a new item which refills 25 thirst and gives a small amount of regeneration. Fresh water can also be found in filled cauldrons. Anvils can now be used to break down most gear into base components. Placement of anvils around the map has been balanced accordingly. Players now spawn with the lowest tier component bag. The Rampaging Golem boss has been overhauled. Villager zombies have been updated. They now spawn more frequently, are not tied to just cities, and when possible, do not hold their weapon in their main hand. Zombies now spawn a little more frequently. Fishing has received a small overhaul. Bites now play a small ding when they trigger. Misses play a villager no sound. Lure rods now increase the chance of receiving a bite. Balance Changes: The bag recipe has been changed to reflect the massive ease of access for leather. Fishing tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 loot pools have been modified to hopefully offer slight incentives to actually fish. Added ???. The Rampaging Golem has been given a new rare drop. Food chests have received nerfs across the tiers. Most Craftable foods have been removed from higher tier chests. Tool common, tool uncommon and tool_rare have received large changes due to these crafting changes. Bags are no longer found in chests and must be crafted, save rare circumstances. Kindling has been removed from MineZ. Crafters blocks and Reinforced Crafters blocks have been removed from chests. They can now be crafted. Crowbars have been sunset. They no longer appear in chests. Tool boxes have been sunset. They no longer appear in chests and can not be crafted. Removed Quivers from Zerbia Depths. They are now craftable. Various crafting tables and filled cauldrons have been removed/updated. Rebalanced various food values and their stack sizes. Dungeon Changes: Added ????? ???? to Pravus. Added ???? ?????? to Bell Farm. A new threat lurks within the smoldering depths of Arid Temple. Thieves' Guild has been updated with a fresh coat of paint and a new foe. Herbalists’ Hideout has been moved into Kaocho. Updated some dungeon legendaries: You’ll find the Cleansing Elixir within Carmi Sewers. Brand new legendaries / unique items have been added to: Thieves’ Guild (Replacing grass blade) ????? ???? ???? ?????? Made some changes to Zerbia Depths void water to make the dungeon more enjoyable. Zerbia Depths wave room fire strategy has been changed up. The lava within Krubera Vault has melted the water cauldrons in its loot room. Removed Quivers from Zerbia Depths. Zerbia Depths Diamond Axe 8% -> 13% Removed Mummy’s Cloth from Body Offload. Removed Ectoplasm Gel from Wizard’s Tower. Removed Chalice of Wine from Krubera Vault. Removed Iron Ingot from Krubera Vault. Removed Jump Boost arrows from Wizards Tower. Added Swiftness Tipped arrow to Wizards Tower. Added Poison Tipped arrow to Wizards Tower. Item Changes: Axes no longer have damage dropoff based on mob count. Axes no longer require crouching to be used. All non-Diamond axe damage has been buffed to the sword damage of its material. Shovels now have an AoE stun on left click instead of single target, and no longer deal any damage. Durability loss based on mobs hit. All Zombie kills now grant XP regardless of spawn source and kill weapon. Smite damage has been changed to Optional PvP/Quests PTR damage. Voltaic Wedge duration increased to 20s Masamune no longer grants hunger, now gives 1.5 pieces of health and absorption. Tenseiga’s right click ability has been reworked, now instead emits an AoE heal from the user, healing 6 hearts(12 health) over 3 seconds to other players in a 3 block radius. Quivers are now able to store and dispense arrows. Updated a LOT of item descriptions to be consistent. Bugfixes Fixed a bug where graves would infinitely provide loot Added tips for and missing recipes to /mzcraft Less duping 6/01/2023 ( 5.2.12 ) Gameplay Changes: Muramasa: Target goes onto a hunger cooldown and cannot lose hunger from legendaries for 30s. Legendary goes onto cooldown for 10 seconds. Any hits on an a cooldown target still cause the attacker to gain hunger but do not cause the target to lose hunger. Pluvia's Rain: When hit, a target goes onto a hunger cooldown and cannot lose hunger from legendaries for 30s. Bugfixes RagTag's button room no longer uses an iron door. 5/30/2023 ( 5.2.11 ) Balance Changes: Frostbain Church: +1 Pot_Uncommon Bugfixes fixed an issue with /drops. Players can once again see the next week of supply drops. 5/28/2023 ( 5.2.10 ) Dungeon Changes: Shrine of the Dusk: Updated Hall of Shadows seal placing to require right clicking instead of dropping the skulls DCS: Iron Bar Parkour room: Made some jumps harder. Door closes slower. Wave room: Waves will now trigger once the previous wave is complete. Saturdays at 6PM EST Sundays at 9AM EST Tuesdays at 10PM EST Thursdays at 12PM EST Weekend Supply Drops will feature large locations. Weekday supply drops are smaller. Players can view upcoming supply drops with the command /drops The Easter Headhunt has ended. Bugfixes Fixed Paluster Boss room shulkers not being in the correct position in higher versions of the game. Modified Ragtag cove's Button Room. 4/14/2023 ( 5.2.8 ) Gameplay Changes: The Ghost Ship has moved to ??? The Easter Supply Drops continue for Week 2. The schedule for these supply drops is: Saturday, 4/15, 6PM EST Sunday, 4/16, 9AM EST Tuesday, 4/18, 10PM EST Thursday,4/20, 12PM EST If for some reason an issue occurs with the above supply drops they will be rescheduled. 4/7/2023 ( 5.2.7 ) Gameplay Changes: The headhunt system has recieved a few QOL updates: Players are notified of active Headhunts when they join the game. Headhunts have different icons to help differentiate them. XP for this event has been increased from a base of 400XP to 600XP per head, There will be no Meridian special area for this event. 3 Location-specific Headhunts have been added to the game. Use /checkheads to find out more about each one. Each headhunt gives 2 days of PVE access if you do not already have it, in addition to their rewards. Reminder that you can check the headhunt rewards through /checkheads. Two supply drops have been added into rotation. They spawn a mix of special Easter goodies and other items. Saturday, 4/8 at 4PM EST Monday, 4/10 at 2PM EST Special Note: It is our hope to add a few more supply drops after Monday. The next likely drop would be on Wednesday if this happens. If for some reason an issue occurs with the above supply drops they will be rescheduled. 3/4/2023 ( 5.2.6 ) Gameplay Changes: Added Seren's Watch The Big Chill Headhunt has ended! Ghost has moved to ??? Zerbia has recieved many QOL build updates. Balance Changes: Torchbar Farm: 1 tool_common -> civ_uncommon. Bugfixes Patched a bug causing Christmas Presents to not contain any gifts. Fixed an issue with multiple legendary bows consuming other items durability when switching too fast between items. Patched a sequencing issue with the Undermine's detonator which caused it to break. 2/8/2023 ( 5.2.4 ) Bugfixes The Ghost Ship is now zoned properly. Patched an issue causing Cursed Crew to spawn very infrequently. This is the same spawn rate as Ginger Ship from Wonderland. Patched a bug stopping players from harvesting crops. 2/6/2023 ( 5.2.3 ) Gameplay Changes: Reverted MineZ Wonderland Ghost Ship has moved to ??? This Ghost Ship only spawns Ghost Ship military chests. Added the "Big Chill" Headhunt. Search the snow biome for 8 heads. Heads may be found in any minor/medium/large build. No PVE time will be given for completing this headhunt. Headhunts now show their prizes, via the /checkheads command. Gold Standard has been removed. A similar event will return with a future content update. MineZ has open build projects! Read here. Bugfixes Fixed an issue with Grenades sometimes teleporting players. Patched an issue with players not receiving correct spawn kit items. Festival of Valar no longer says "Gold Standard" in the scoreboard. Dungeon Changes: Path of Light closes 4x slower now. (30 seconds -> 2 Minutes) Removed some safespots from the Undermines Boss. Adjusted redstone for the TNT detonator in the Undermines.
