Suggestion - How to potentionally reduce griefing

In this Post I want to play with an Idea and I've wanted to ask others if they think the same.

Placing Blocks and griefing is way faster than Building and removing Blocks.

The Idea I want to discuss would be to Vanish Player-Placed Blocks after an amount of time.

Enemys who griefed your Goldmine will not have a permanent Blockade to your Goldmine

General Griefing would be tolerable because the System helps you to clean up afterwards

Middle couldn't be griefed so easily and does not have permanent Blocks all over that destroy Gameplay and the uniqueness of Middles.

Last but not least Griefers can still grief and Builders still Build.

Some of the other Ideas were that each Block gets a Player ID, if this Player is one of the Red Team which places a Block inside Greens territory it gets removed wayway faster than a Green Player placing one inside Greens territory.

Mid could be generalised so that the nearer you are to mid the faster they get removed.
Building Bases in Mid in some areas like the Islands on Coastal would still be possible.

Obviously building general Defenses would be possible, that rule would not apply there.

I'm not sure if something like this is possible in Minecraft but it is an interesting Idea and I'd love to hear some feedback or more Ideas

    Thenks :)

    Edit:
For Skybridges you can make an own Skybox where nothing despawns so that this Tactic would still be viable

I just came up with a litle tweak to your idea.

Instead of the blocks vanishing after x amount of time, ppl will be able to break those blocks faster then usual.

Maybe give the player a short haste buff if he attempts to break the block.

idk, I don't really like the idea. Blockading myself inside an enemies mine and preventing them from gathering resources is a legit strategy that I use. If you can starve a team of gold, then they won't be as much of a threat later on. I also like to build little bases around enemy territory that I defend and fall back to. I don't think we need to change this

Thanks for your Input and Tobis aswell!

Obviously griefing is also a Part of Annihilation and helps to gain Control over the Game.
But there are some Tactics that are just Punches under you Beltline (hope the Metaphor is correct in english).
Blocking Goldmines is okay but I feel like its a low investment Strategie which give way too much gains, in Vanishing the Blocks after a while there is somewhat of a better Balance for the Miners.

Having somewhat of a Threat is actually a good thing in my Opinion. The best Annihilation you can play is when there is a possibility that you may not win this game, when there are capable enemies where the outcome is uncertain.

Giving this Idea a Chance might make Annihilation more dynamic.

Little Bases would still be possible, I admit I am not sure on what would be fair on how long Blocks should be "alive" until they vanish but that could be solved with some tinkering and possibly even testing

this has some potential, but what happens to removed blocks? On coastal i dig a trench towards the enemies and they have to replace blocks all the time so they dont get flooded from behind?
in a mid like Castles you got to rebuild a staircase up all the time?
You think your in a safe space and suddenly all blocks arund you disappear?
there are other ways to prevent griefing I dont think is is the way...
