Welcome to Dentril's New Moon of June 2025! I'm BasicAly, and I'm here to give you updates and go over what's been going on here at Shotbow in the last month!

Team Applications
Ever wanted to join the Shotbow Staff Team? The following teams are accepting applications:

Network Updates
Events Team Update
The Event Team now has opened their applications up to those interested in organizing fun and unique events across all of our gamemodes! You can read all about Event Staff responsibilities and more information about the team here.

Gamemode Updates
Annihilation Updates
The Annihilation Team is hard at work on their next update, but they also recently announced that new Admin applications have opened! They are asking for all interested to apply again regardless if you have done so already in the past. You can read more about what Annihilation Admins do here in their thread or see the link to apply above!

MineZ Updates
The MineZ Team released a patch this month which included an updated MineZ Map, some dungeon changes, some balance changes, and minor build changes. You can read up on all the specifics by checking out the changelog. Additionally, this month, the MineZ Team conducted a player Q&A on the MineZ Community Board Discord to gather feedback on the current state of the game. They've put together their responses to offer insight into the team's current direction, share a bit about upcoming content, and present some interesting data that helps guide their decision-making. You can see the Q&A results and statistics from 2024 here.

GG Updates
As part of ongoing network modernization, we sometimes bring gamemodes to a newer base version. Newer base versions run smoother and require fewer resources. They also allow us to leverage new and modern features brought by the Minecraft version that a gamemode was migrated to. Additionally, newer Shotbow-specific features such as the new cosmetics framework, which allows you to customize your tag among other things, also are only available on newer base versions.

GG was still running on base version 1.12 and was long overdue a base version upgrade. At the start of last month, this version bump was executed, which saw GG bump from 1.12 to 1.20. There may still be some bugs to hash out, feel free to report bugs on the Shotbow discord!
