No Prefix Broken player house door

Well, this is pretty simple. After leaving Minez2 for a while my previous house disappeared, which is what i believe is supposed to happen. But i made a new house last night, and whenever i would put the key into the key hole, the door would remain locked and the key would simply fall to the floor. Yes ive logged out and back in, ive changed the locks, ive had friends try opening the door, and ive waited a day. Still, none the less the key continues to simply fall onto the ground.

Logout, go onto another server, stand where your house is, logout again, and go back to the server where your house is.

Well, yes, i know that is a thing you can do, but it takes a good three minutes to do, then you have to do it again to get back out of the house which seems extraordinarily inefficient. Will the house be broken for its whole existence? should i make a new house?

This is a pretty known bug, considering it affects every single house in Mz2.

Like Sunlost said, you can server hop in. Right now that's all anyone can do.
The admins are currently working on fixing bugs in Mz2, and overhauling the inner workings of housing.
I'm sure they will find a way so that all the houses in Mz2 will work right after the fixes, but nothing is being confirmed at the moment.
(If you make a new house right now it will have the same problem.)

At this time, do not build a new house. We have BIG changes planned for the housing system, more information on this will be made public when things are ready. For now I'm afraid you'll have to live with the server hopping workaround, sorry about that :c

housing updates would be nice as to be more than just a storage place if at all possible

It does not affect all houses same: I have a house just over the PVP border in Asindia, which has a permanently unlocked door.
So be my guest, the house is just north of Outpost and has a nice multicolored clay design.
But be be aware that the house server hops between Romero, Portsmouth and Frostbain on reboot

Yes if your door was unlocked when the update rolled out a few months back it's permanently unlocked. Wish they could just permanently unlock them all since you can't raid chests any more anyways. Easy fix while we wait maybe?

mine wass just straight up wipped... I just kind went like meh. I only had like a farm and a chest room.
