    I think that a good idea would be trying to put the server for 1 month in the 1.7 version, and see which changes it brings to the server, From my point of view, the server would improve. i can ensure that

    Easier said than done. Entire plugins have to be reworked before they're compatible with 1.7 again and the gain might be minimal.
