    Alright so I have made a couple posts on 1.9, its pvp, and what effect it would have on annihilation. I'll be redoing my OP and Nerfed classes list in this post as well as go over some common anni strategies that could be changed. After playing a lot of 1.9 kitpvp I have much more understanding of just how everything works and how it would affect it would have on anni so with that out of the way let's get right into it.

    Strength Rushes:
    I have very limited experience using strength in 1.9 as it was only recently added to the server I play and the server does not allow for a weapon stronger than an iron sword to be used with str. You will no longer be able to one shot even with strength II( except in a few cases) which might be a problem for those of you who try to gt really good gear and str. You will be able to two shot though with the current average weapons (I'm going to say sharp III diamond sword/ sharp IV iron). Diamond armor also seems to be a lot better now as with armor toughness can tank most hits from normal weapons and if they get low dont even need a gapple just some bread to bring them back up ( though this would require you to have some hunger down and enough health to withstaand the 5 people that are probably attacking you.) So basically str rushes will be worth it with really good armor and weapons but possibly worse than current str rushes if armor isn't enough.

    A note on Axes:
    This is a general 1.9 thing and not annihilation but it needs to be said. Axes in 1.9 are not as OP as most people think they are. A stone axe user will take constant knockback from a much faster hitting wooden sword user throwing off their aim. The best of the best players don't even use axes on the server I play because if they were to encounter another good player with a sword they would die quickly. If you have any other queestions about how good something is in 1.9 I'd be happy to answer it. I will be referring to this note when going over nerfed and buffed classes.

    Gapples:
    Notch apples have recieved a nerf and are no longer craftable if shotbow were to go 1.9 they could possibly be a wither buff item.

    Mining:
    Having to switch from a pick to a sword or especially an axe can be the death of you as your opponent gets an extra two hits on you before you're ready. ith a sword this wont be bad at all but may still come into effect at middle where there is constant fighting but for regular mining it will be just like it is currently.

    So that's all I can think of at the moment if I missed anything please tell me. So I'm just going to jump right into classes
    NOTE: An annihilation update is coming out that may change how some of these classes would be affected by 1.9.

    Acrobat:
    Buff:
    Double jumping can easily throw off an opponent's aim
    No fall damage/double jumping can be used to escape and eat food for rapid regen
    Can offhand bow

    Alchemist:
    Buff:
    Weakness potions have been buffed to -4 damage and -8 damage which will be devastating for any player.
    Speed potions for stafing are much more effective.
    Slowness potions are make an opponent easy to hit.
    Nerf:
    Strength potions have been nerfed to +3 and +6 damage

    Archer:
    Buff:
    Can offhand bow
    Bows do more damage with reduced armor in 1.9.
    Can offhand arrow drop

    Assassin;
    Buff:
    Can offhand leap (may not be helpful for it will show when invisible)
    Haste decreases attack cooldown allowing for near spam clicking
    Invisibility is the ultimate way to through off someone's aim
    Leap can be used for a quick escape ti get rapid regen

    Bard:
    Buff:
    Slowness make a target much easier to hit
    weakness has been buffed to -4 damage
    speed allows for better strafing

    Beserker:
    Buff:
    Additional damage to armored opponents will be emphasized
    Can offhand ability
    Nerf:
    No knockback makes a very easy target (like before but worse except with archers)

    Bloodmage:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Poison works with spam clicking

    Builder:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Can offhand blocks

    Civilian:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Axe may be more useful (above)

    Dasher:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Can use ability for quick escape to eat
    Nerf:
    Having reduced hunger and saturation all the time reduces rapid regen

    Defender:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Ability could be used to through off an opponent's aim
    Regen around nexus adds to rapid regen from saturation
    Nerf:
    Chain chestplate will be less effective than before

    Enchanter:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Knockback enchantment can throw off an opponent's aim or forr distance to be built when running away.
    Enchantment levels as armor will work more often
    Nerf:
    Sharpness has received a nerf.

    Engineer:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability

    Farmer: (The most OP class now :) )
    Buff:
    Bread and apples give good saturation meaning more rapid regen
    Regular golden apples gives massive regen with high saturation
    Can offhand ability
    Ability gives full hunger and saturation making farmer the best healing class in the game
    Can offhand seeds

    Healer:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Nerf:
    Weakness has a -4 damage effect making healing only able to do damge with their axe after spawning

    Hunter:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Slowness makes targets much easier to hit
    Blindness will throw off an opponent's aim a lot.

    Iceman:
    Buff
    Could cause less lag with frostwalker
    Slowness makes a target easy to hit

    Immobilizer:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Nerf:
    Can no longer block with a sword

    Lumberjack:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Ability works with spam clicking
    Axe may make a lumberjack stronger

    Mercenary:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Could be changed to spectral effect on player possibly removing armor bug

    Miner:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability

    Pyro:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Fire could throw off an opponent's aim
    Fire ability will work with spam clicking
    Flame bows will be much more powerful

    Riftwalker:
    Nerf:
    Weakness has bee increased to -4 damage

    Scorpio:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability

    Scout:
    Buff:
    Speed is much more important for strafing
    Grapple/Speed can be used to get away quickly and get rapid regen
    NOTE: Fishing rods currently dont work in the offhand

    Sniper:
    Buff:
    Effect arrows could fix sniper
    Bows do more damage

    Spider:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Can use ability to get away and eat for rapid regen
    Cobwebs make an opponent much easier to hit and get crits

    Succubus:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability

    Swapper:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability

    Thor:
    Buff:
    Resistance is more effective with reduced armor
    Can offhand ability
    Golden axe is a decent weapon

    Tinkerer:
    Buff:
    Speed is better for strafing
    Haste allows for near spam clicking
    Can offhand powerpads

    Transporter:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability

    Vampire:
    Buff:
    Resistance is much better with reduced armor values
    Bat form can easily throw off an opponent's aim.
    Nerf:
    Weakness now deals -4 damage

    Warrior:
    Buff:
    Can offhand ability
    Ability works with spam clicking

    Wizard:
    Buff:
    Can offhand wand
    Can offhand spellbook
    Slowness makes targets easier to hit
    Fire can throw off opponent;s aim

    NOTE: Spam clicking will most likely not be effective even with classes where abilities work with spam clicking

    Oh god- I hope shotbow does not implement 1.9 PvP. I have tried it and I have to say it is terrible- it feels slower than runescape! Hitting a player then waiting to hit them again is too slow for me- it feels like an RPG.

    EDIT: just played some more 1.9 PvP....it's god awful. If it gets implemented I am out. Although the food healing would be a buff to farmer...but it's just too OP- literally just run away nonstop chugging golden apples/steak. It's horrible.

    Fights are actually a lot quicker after a little practice but yeah farmer would become way too op in 1.9

    I can almost confirm shotbow will not go with full 1.9 pvp aspects like dual wielding and swing cooldowns because it breaks the game.
