No Prefix - Banditry on day One

This is the first whole day since 2 is released. People should go explore new areas, find new items, etc. But why have so many turned to banditry on the first day? Someone tried to lead my brother and I up to Vivens and kill us. We killed him, took his items, revived him with the order not to move. With a bow pointed at him I asked why he attacked. His reply before I shot him dead was "I did it for the lulz". First kill was against a traitor. Three minutes later we encountered a group of five, who made peace with us. Twenty seconds later they fired on us. Six arrows with five hits, and a two minute fight ensued. They all died with me and my bro still alive. Second to sixth kills were also backstabbing.

All of them resorted to backstabbing, and the first guy did it for the lulz- ON DAY ONE. What happened to the days of 1 when not everyone was a killer? When 1 came out everyone was exploring and generally being nice until fairly recently. 2 comes out and killers every turn on the first day. Why do people act like such dicks these days trying to ruin the day for others who want nothing more than to find Asindia?

This was posted out of rage from the times I've been attacked in such a short spam. If you feel the urge to shout at me for being high on weed, feel free.

Well for some it seems to be just to be a scumbag to people but to others its a legit mentality of "if i don't back stab first then i will get back stabbed in return" which in the world of MineZ and MineZ2 is a nice way of thinking to have since you never know who is really kind or who is staring at your items.
So its kinda expected even on the first day :stuck_out_tongue:

Sadly you guys are right.... I keep telling my brother (Who insists on KoS) to NOT KoS. That was right before all this happened. Still, nethertheless, I will never turn to kill on sight.

MineZ isn't a new game and people already unfortunately have established playstyles, you really just have to deal with it unfortunately.

All of the above are quite likely reasons why people just bandit, even on the first day. I dare say that the Bandit I-IV will cause many more to KoS, since humans really like grinding achievements for some reason.

    I bandit, and don't got no shame, its fun ;-;
I don't kill everyone I see, and usually don't backstab, if you see me running at you, don' take it as a peace sign
however, if I right click at you, I won't attack unless provoked

Can we try and avoid this for right now? I know this won't make the problem go away, but MineZ 2 just released publicly. Let's try not to spoil it.

Yeah but for the newcomers to MineZ 2(regulars), we should let everyone enjoy it before we start 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

I enjoy pvp and even on day one if there was none i think it would be boring (imo). What i like to do tho is kos check there items then revive them so they don't lose everything.

I've met one person above the line who's tried to kill me. As a well armed healer, you tend to get off easy. Naturally, the one who tried to kill me killed me, as surprise.

Sadly, KoS is a developed trait due to high paranoia. In the north, stay away from people, keep to yourself, have healers who hate bandits nearby if you are in a city. If you are in a group/clan, all the better. If you know them irl, even better. Soloing tends to leave dead bodies - yours or others. Groups tend to leave dead bodies, only not yours.

It seems like there are 4 kinds of PvPers out there.
    • Those who are trying to steal your gear. (More likely to meet there guys far North.)
    • Those who are paranoid and scared you'll attack first. (Often see them in towns that they're looting.)
    • Those who are bandit hunters. (You'll know these guys if you cry for help and they come an saves you for the bandit that's chasing... Sometimes for a price.)
    • And those who just want to PvP and kill people. (They tend to be the ones camping the line.)
What this means for you is STAY AWAY FROM PEOPLE. Only team up with people you know. Only they can be trusted. Even then, don't do anything that'll make them think you're against them. If you do happen to see someone, this is what you do.
    1. Do not let them see you. Either go the other way, or hide somewhere.
    2. If they see you, make the peace sign, but NEVER put away your weapon. The last thing you want is for them to think you're an easy target and get in a few hits before you have time to react.
    3. If they start coming or draw their bow, swing your sword or draw your bow. Let them know you'll fight back. This may intimidate them enough to make them stop.
    4. If all else fails, run or fight. Just remember, their armor and weapons may be upgraded, so treat them like they have pristine gear.

Whenever people backstab its because they are to bad to fight you normally. I think its ok to kill people unless you backstab. That is just scummy.

Backstabbing is noobish. Backstabbing and dying is just being plain shit.

Prior to me getting premium I only bandited once, just to see what it was like. I hated it, too risky for me. I don't backstab, but I used to kill if I needed food but other than that I never attacked. Just look at my sig, 0 players killed in MineZ 2. I'm no bandit.
